About 35 people showed up in support of Bersih 3.0 gathering in Washington DC. People coming from Virginia, Maryland, and local DC. We gather at Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. The group was also surprised to see former US ambassador to Malaysia, John Malott. After briefing, we took a group picture and sing national anthem in front of tidal basin with National Monument in the background. Sign memorandum, Then we walked a 2.5 miles round trip loop around the National Mall (while severals choose to sit in at Franklin D Roosevelt Memorial). Taking photos and raising awareness at famous landmarks such as the new Martin Luther King Jr memorial, National Monument, Reflecting pool, Lincoln Memorial. The group “sat in” in front of Lincoln memorial for a while, drawing attention of thousands visitors. The group end the event with a 30 seconds silent to pay respect to Malaysians who attended the KL “sit in” and those who got injured.
