Report: Bersih 3.0 Portland, USA

Location: Portland, USA Time: 28 Apr, 10AM -8UTC Number of participants: 62   Bersih3.0 Portland was held successfully with no incident. We were nearly 62 strong (some came late after the picture and national anthem session), and came from places all over the state and even some from Seattle (3.5 our drive). We had some locals, we also had students. The rally/sit-in protest started at 10AM and ended at about 12PM, we talked, we took loads of pictures, organizers gave some speech, we read Bersih’s demands and lastly sang Negaraku!!

Report: Bersih 3.0 Manchester, UK

Location: Sogo,  Hong Kong, China Time: 28 Apr, 2pm +10UTC Number of participants: 500+   Participants began gathering outside of Sogo, Causeway Bay, at 2pm. Organizers estimated that about 50 would come, and two days before the event, the number swelled to 100. But by the time everyone gathered outside of Sogo, the organizers received a warning from the police for underestimating their number! We had about 500 participants, and some of them were Malaysian tourists who happened to be in HK this weekend. Malaysians in Macau, Shenzhen, and Guangdong also came down to join our rally.…
